Bringing the Vision to Life

HLP Advanced Skin beauty treatment room during setup, featuring soft beige lime wash walls and professional skincare equipment

The Treatment Room Takes Shape

This week has felt like a big step forward — everything is starting to come together, and the beauty room is finally beginning to look like how I imagined it.

One of the first things I did was repaint the room, and honestly, it's completely changed the space. I went for a soft beige lime wash finish, which gives it that calm, neutral look but with a bit more texture and depth. It feels a lot more like a proper treatment space now rather than just a room in the house. The goal has always been to create somewhere that feels relaxing as soon as you walk in, and this has definitely helped set that tone.

The Finishing Touches That Make All the Difference

I've also started adding in some of the smaller appliances that make a big difference to the overall experience. Things like a towel warmer and a mini fridge might seem minor, but they really elevate treatments and make everything feel more professional and put together.

I'm also in the process of building a custom alcove wall using MDF and timber to give the space that high-end, finished look — something a bit more unique that reflects the HLP brand.

Introducing the Hydrofacial Machine

A big moment this week was getting the hydrofacial machine in and set up. It's something I've been really excited about — it's such a popular treatment and delivers amazing results. Being able to offer it from day one feels like a huge step towards building a high-quality, results-driven service.

Brand Content and Website Launch

Alongside setting up the room, I've been focusing on content and branding. I worked with TheContentHun to film a hero video for the website, as well as content for social media. Having strong visuals really helps bring the brand to life and gives people a feel for what to expect before they even book.

The website is now nearly complete. I've secured the domain, made final edits, and added in the hero video — seeing it all come to life online has been a huge milestone. If you'd like to explore our treatments, you can view the full treatment menu here.

Stocking Up and Staying Safe

Behind the scenes, there's been a lot of less exciting but very necessary work too. I've ordered loads of essential kit — everything from extraction tools and mixing bowls to hydrofacial solutions, disinfectant wipes, gloves, and bed roll. Having everything properly stocked and organised is key to running treatments safely and professionally.

Deepening My Knowledge in Microneedling

I've also been continuing to build my knowledge, especially around microneedling. I've been properly deep diving into it — understanding the technique, skin responses, and how to get the best results safely. It's something I want to be completely confident in before offering it to clients.

Building Long-Term Client Relationships

To get ready for clients, I've ordered business cards and set up a loyalty programme. From the very beginning, I want there to be a focus on building long-term relationships — not just one-off treatments. If you'd like to be one of the first to book, you can book your appointment here.

We're Almost There

It's been a busy week, but a really exciting one. Everything is starting to feel real — not just an idea, but something that's actually coming to life. Still a few things to finish off, but we're getting very close.
